What will I learn?
During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
draft legal documents
provide papers for legal matters
comply with legal, organisational and regulatory requirements in the provision of legal services
store and retrieve information using a filing system
develop and manage interviews with clients
You'll develop the following core skills:

teamwork
numeracy
time-management
communication
These transferrable skills are useful for working in other jobs such as administration and law.
Where could it take me?
This Modern Apprenticeship gives you a range of options. Continue your studies with a technical apprenticeship in paralegal practice or go into full-time work.
Further education: Increase your legal knowledge by applying for a bachelor’s degree in law. This could lead to a higher qualification, such as a Masters in law.
Straight to work: Use your qualifications to find a job in the paralegal industry. After completing the apprenticeship, you could move onto jobs such as:
family paralegal
personal injury solicitor
legal assistant
paralegal assistant
civil litigation solicitor
administration assistant
Entry requirements
There are no set requirements for this apprenticeship. But it is beneficial to have an interest in the law and a desire to improve your legal awareness.
How does it work?
You’ll learn in a real-world environment and earn a wage. You’ll also study with a college or another learning provider.
How long will it take?
This Modern Apprenticeship will take between 12 and 24 months to complete.
