Provider Advisory Groups
Provider Advisory Groups (PAGs) are short-life working groups. They contribute to the development of apprenticeships through the expertise of the participants.
The groups feed back on content which has been developed by a Technical Expert Group (TEG).
A PAG is made up of representatives from the training delivery network:
colleges and universities
independent learning providers
employers who deliver training in-house
Who can take part in a Provider Advisory Group?
We welcome current and prospective deliverers of training. Each group member should:
have experience and knowledge in that sector
understand the apprenticeship role and how to help an apprentice develop in their field
know the ideal skills and behaviours of an employee in the sector
contribute to discussions about technical skills
understand sector trends and developments
engage in discussions on emerging changes
Typically, you'll be an assessor, lecturer, trainer or in a related role. You'll have occupational competence in a sector, and experience of delivering work-based learning.
What’s involved in a Provider Advisory Group?
As part of a PAG, you help review and design the qualifications used to underpin apprenticeships. This involves an initial induction then some meetings during the qualification design process.
Meetings may be spread over a 6-month period, and be in-person or online. We'll also ask you to review draft documents between meetings.
As a group, you'll:
review and feed back on the outputs from the Technical Expert Group
support the design of the qualification
contribute to the assessment strategy
give guidance on how to deliver the apprenticeship
Register your interest
Help to develop apprenticeships for future generations.
