Eclipse (IP) Ltd are industry leaders in IP electronic fire and security solutions. Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are currently looking for a Modern Apprentice Electronic Fire and Security Systems Engineer who will live in Edinburgh. They will learn how to install and test a variety of systems, repair faults and explain to customers how to use them.

They will develop expertise in Installation, Service and Maintenance of Intruder, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm equipment. The apprenticeship is designed to provide a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge which will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and progress in their career in the future.

What will I learn?

You will attend Edinburgh College one day a week and the rest of the week will shadow qualified Engineers. You will learn to install all aspects of the fire and security industry. You will learn hand tool skills and grow your confidence in a friendly and supportive environment.

You will gain an SCQF level 6 in Electronic Fire and Security Systems following on from successful completion of this course over 3 years.

What qualification or qualities are required?

- We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in the Fire and Security Industry and wants to progress their career in this area.

- Live in Edinburgh and be able to get yourself to Edinburgh College (Granton Site) one day a week (pre agreed day at start of employment)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Well presented.
- Attention to detail.
- An ability to work well under pressure.
- Positive 'can do' attitude.
- Friendly and empathetic and good
team working skills.
