Working as an apprentice Commis Chef, learning all aspects of preparing and cooking food. You will be expected to assist other chefs within the kitchen.
You will be required to work shifts including weekends and evenings.
Learning basic knife skills, basic food hygiene. Preparing and cooking vegetables, preparing and cooking starters, learning to prepare and cook meat, poultry, sauces, soups etc
You will be working towards gaining SVQ Professional Cookery SCQF Level 5 and 6 Qualifications.
Ideally should have minimum of national 4 /5 qualifications but not essential. Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills required. Must have a clean and tidy appearance. A willingness to learn and have a keen interest in cooking.
